Equipment
Equipment was founded in 1976, or as the kids like to say nowadays, the 1900s. In 2020, they launched a capsule collection paying homage to their French heritage. The capsule collection featured 6 new styles inspired by some of the pieces from the archive. As the lead designer for the brand, I worked on all of the assets for the launch, including the homepage, landing page, emails, and social media assets. Because this collection was inspired by the past, I loved the idea of introducing black film frames in the creative. To achieve a modern look with a touch of history, I started with a simple, balanced grid layout with ample white space. Then I went in and selectively added the frames in a way that would not distort the product photography.
